2020.07.30 – Industrial Dust Collector

This custom fabricated dust collector was made of several different sections which all had to come together in the shop and fit perfectly at the job site. This dust collector included the fabrication of a 24′ cone. Our 40′ long brake press allowed us to make each half of the cone from a single piece of formed steel. Refractory sections were welded onto the surfaces of all the interior sections of the collector. This complex project was completed for a customer in the metal manufacturing industry and required several of the specialties of Kubes Steel, including plate rolling and brake press work, brought together by our certified welders.
