2020.11.01 – Halton Hills Power Plant Sculpture
When the Halton Hills Power Plant opened in 2010, it included a sculpture constructed of architecturally exposed structural steel pipe sections to accompany the municipal sign. Kubes Steel performed the cold rolling service for the 22″ diameter upper sections, the smaller lower sections and fabricated all the connecting brackets. The finished sculpture is made of 20 AESS sections in all with a total assembled length of over 500 feet. The municipal sign and edge of the sculpture are lit up at night so they are visible from Highway 401 which passes just to the south.
