We had the chance to take photos of the George C. King Bridge in East Calgary on our recent trip to the city for the Global Petroleum Show.  The pedestrian bridge crosses St. Patrick's Island in two spans, and was fabricated by ADF Group in Montreal.  Kubes Steel did the rolling and bending of the steel pipe.  You can see more pictures of the project here, when it was still known as the St. Patrick's Bridge Project.

Kubes Steel fabricated a series of draft tube liners (also known as penstocks) for the Cannelton Hydroelectric project located on the Ohio River.  Each assembled section is 30 feet in diameter and 60 feet long.  When completed, water from the Ohio River will be directed through the penstocks to the turbines, which will turn generators and produce approximately 88 Megawatts of electricity.  The project adjoins the existing Cannelton Locks and Dam in Kentucky.
