2011.08.04 – Up the Creek

The Newtown Creek WWTP is located in Greenpoint, NY and was once home to a canal, and many spills!  Before waste management (WM) was optimized, the site looked much different.  Today, with the installation of the Newtown Creek Digester Eggs (which feature stainless steel railings manufactured by Kubes) Newtown is home to the largest of the 14 WWTPs in New York.  Photo from Matthew Wills
